Hi.

I’m back. Wasn’t that weird, how nothing happened here for almost two months? I don’t understand it any better than you do.

Here are some things to tell you about, starting with tonight, I’m reading at The Silver Tongue series, down on the Columbia College campus. This, I believe, is going to be awesome.

A few other things:
Hiding Out was named one of the best books of 2007 by the Omaha World-Herald! How awesome is Omaha?
• Newpages.com just ran a fantastic review of the book. I didn’t know this could still happen, that people would still care and review the book, but apparently it happens. Such a nice surprise.
• My favorite Boston Celtic, Leon Powe, is finally getting some burn and wreaking havoc in the paint. How could you not love a guy with a photo like this?
• My boy Patrick Somerville sold his first novel, The Cradle, to Little, Brown.
• My girl Betsy’s new book got a rave review in the Village Voice.
• I’m reading next week as part of the new Parlor series at Green Lantern Gallery.
• Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday. Let’s not let another Manning win one, am I right?
